I believe that the more patients understand about their injuries or conditions, the better equipped they are to make the best medical decisions. However, I am aware that with the abundance of information (much of it misinformation) on the internet, it can be difficult to sift through the various sources of information and determine what is trustworthy and meaningful. With that in mind, I have designed my website to provide you with the information you will need to understand the orthopaedic conditions and injuries that I treat on a daily basis. Currently the library has two sections: Video Library, which I will update frequently with short videos about various orthopaedic topics, and Patient Education, which contains basic information about some of the most common orthopaedic issues I see.
As I receive feedback from people using the site, I hope to grow the library to include more information people find most valuable.
This information is general in nature – every patient is unique. The same injury can affect different people in different ways, and the best treatment often relies on individual factors such as age, activity level, other risk factors, etc. The information provided here is meant to supplement your discussion with your doctor, not replace it.
